Two strategy games in launch order.

About Subset Games

Subset Games builds tight strategy with Ma and Davis leading. FTL from 2012 runs spaceship crews to the rebel flagship in roguelike jumps. Into the Breach from 2018 runs mech squads on 8 by 8 grids against vek swarms.

Each game uses short runs with no shared cast. Play FTL first, then Breach, to see strategy tools grow from ship to grid. FTL runs 10 hours plus runs, Breach runs 8 plus timelines. The studio stays small in Shanghai with no next title dated beyond updates. New viewers can start with the first entry for the cleanest introduction.

Good to know

There is no shared story order because crews never meet. Release order shows scope move from ship jumps to grid pushes best. FTL teaches power, crew and beam timing. Breach adds push pull and timeline resets across islands. Both run as roguelike nights with one flagship to close and no sequel to place. Treat each as a standalone strategy run.
