About Taiko no Tatsujin
Taiko no Tatsujin starts with the 2001 arcade original drumming Don to festival songs. Portable followed in 2005 on PSP, the DS run from 2007 with touch play and the Wii run from 2008 with drum controllers.
The 3DS run arrived in 2012, Drum Session in 2017 on PS4 and Switch in 2018 with motion play. Play in release order. The don and ka notes stay constant, so each entry adds songs and modes onto known drumming. Don and Katsu cheer every stage. The tatacon drum works across eras. Festival songs rotate yearly.

Play in release order. Bandai Namco built the line around the tatacon drum controller. Each platform generation resets the song list, so pick the era you own.
