About The Crew
The Crew from Ivory Tower launched December 2, 2014 as an online only drive across the USA, with Wild Run in 2015 and Calling All Units in 2016. Ubisoft delisted it in December 2023 and shut servers March 31, 2024, so it can no longer be played. The Crew 2 launched June 29, 2018 and added boats and planes to the same USA map.
The Crew Motorfest launched September 14, 2023 and moves to Hawaii with festival playlists and over 700 cars. A Switch 2 version is dated October 8, 2026. New players should start with Motorfest, then try Crew 2 for the USA scale.
Good to know
Release order is the only order that makes sense since each game replaces the last rather than continuing a plot. Do not buy the 2014 original now: servers are offline and it will not launch. Crew 2 still runs with over two million monthly players in 2024 and imports cars into Motorfest. Motorfest Year 1 to Year 3 passes add playlists every season, so expect the Hawaii map to keep growing.
