About Until Dawn
Until Dawn from 2015 traps eight friends on Blackwood Mountain with a killer and Wendigo myth across one night. Rush of Blood from 2016 reuses the setting as a PSVR rail shooter without choice weight. The Inpatient from 2018 acts as a VR prequel sixty years before, and the 2024 remake rebuilds the original night in Unreal Engine 5.
Play the original or its remake, then the VR extras. Rush and Inpatient need headsets and add lore rather than required plot. The 2025 film adapts the idea separately, so keep it outside the game list until a second game is dated.
Good to know
Do not buy both the 2015 original and the 2024 remake unless you want two trophy paths, since the remake holds the full night in one place. The Inpatient works standalone and is safe anytime after the main night. With no Until Dawn 2 dated, the remake stands as the current entry point for new players.
