About Utawarerumono
Utawarerumono released 2002 on PC from Leaf about masked Hakuowlo leading Eruruu village with tactics battles. Prelude remake in 2018 rebuilt art but keeps the same revolt tale.
Mask of Deception released 2015 about Haku in Yamato with new tactics, and Mask of Truth followed 2016 closing the empire war. Each entry assumes prior masks, so newcomers play originals before masks for names. The pace stays steady across entries, with each part adding new faces without losing the core tone. New jobs appear often, with each fix teaching care without losing humor and keeping friends clear.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing since Deception to Truth run straight after the original with the same world, so release order is story order. Play the original fully before Deception, since masks return. Treat the trilogy as complete with Truth as finale, and save remakes for after. Plan extra time for finales, since later parts assume full knowledge of earlier twists.
