Supplements and alternate versions
- 2 Xenosaga Freaks Bonus disc with a visual novel segment and an Episode II demo. Optional.
- 4 Xenosaga: Pied Piper Japan-only mobile prequel about Ziggy's human life, set a century before Episode I. Best played after Episode I.
- 5 Xenosaga: The Animation Twelve-episode anime retelling of Episode I. Optional.
- 6 Xenosaga I & II Japan-only Nintendo DS remake of the first two episodes with restored story content. An alternative to Episodes I and II, not an addition.
About Xenosaga
Xenosaga is Monolith Soft's PlayStation 2 sci-fi RPG trilogy, planned as six parts and condensed to three, following Shion Uzuki and KOS-MOS against the Gnosis.
This play order follows release order, which places the Pied Piper prequel after Episode II even though its story comes first.
Good to know
Xenosaga Episode III (2006) closed Shion's story and the series has stayed dormant since. Pied Piper and the I and II remake never left Japan, though a fan translation of Pied Piper is reportedly in development.
