The Accountant (2016) follows Christian Wolff, an autistic math savant running a small CPA cover while cooking books for cartels, ending with the Living Robotics audit and the Braxton reveal. It opened October 14, 2016 from Gavin O'Connor for Warner Bros. The Accountant 2 (2025) reunites Christian with brother Brax to solve the Ray King murder, opening April 25, 2025 for Amazon MGM with streaming June 5.
Bill Dubuque wrote both films as a straight pair, with the sequel assuming you know Justine, the Airstream and Medina. O'Connor has said Anna Kendrick would return for a third film, but no third has been ordered. Watch in release order, since the brother twist only lands if you saw the first setup.
