About Andrew Haigh
Andrew Haigh broke out with Weekend in 2011 about two men over one Nottingham weekend. 45 Years followed in 2015 with Rampling and Courtenay facing an old letter before an anniversary. Lean on Pete arrived in 2017 with a teen and a racehorse crossing the west.
All of Us Strangers came in 2023 with Andrew Scott meeting his parents ghosts while loving Paul Mescal next door. The films share quiet rooms and long talks but no plot. Release order shows his romance widening into ghost story without losing calm.
Good to know
Watch oldest to newest since each love story resets. Weekend and Strangers pair as his queer romance bookends years apart. 45 Years and Lean on Pete suit patient drama nights with animals and letters. Looking fans can add his TV run after the films. No next feature has a date yet, so the 2023 ghost film stays last until one is announced.
