About The Battle at Lake Changjin
The Battle at Lake Changjin follows brothers Wu Qianli and Wu Wanli in the 1950 Chosin Reservoir campaign. The 2021 original sets the company, the cold and the first push with huge battle scale. It ends with the unit still in the fight.
The Water Gate Bridge from 2022 continues days later with the bridge raids as the direct second half. No third film has been dated, so the duology is the full story. Watch the 2021 film before the 2022 sequel, since deaths and orders carry straight across. The cold, orders and brother beats carry straight across both films.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order, since the two films cover one campaign in sequence with no flashback arcs. The sequel assumes you know the company and brothers from part one. Either film works for battle scale alone, but the reunion beats need order. Start at the 2021 entry for the full company arc.
