About The Delta Force
The Delta Force from 1986 sends Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin's counter-terror unit to rescue hijacked hostages in Beirut. Cannon's starriest production with Marvin's final role, it mixed real headlines with square-jawed action.
Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection followed in 1990 against a drug lord, and Delta Force 3: The Killing Game arrived in 1991 with a new team. The missions never connect, so release order is the tour. Start with the original for Marvin and the Beirut raid. Norris's partnership with Marvin anchors the series highlight.
Good to know
Release order works because the missions stand alone with only Norris carrying over, and even he skips part three. The original's hijack plot borrows from the TWA 847 crisis, which dates it precisely. No further sequel has been announced, so the three films are complete. Expect Cannon-era stunts over realism throughout. Marvin's presence elevates the original above its siblings.
