About Bomba
Bomba is Roy Rockwood jungle boy from 1926 books, filmed by Monogram and Allied Artists eleven times from 1949 to 1955 with Johnny Sheffield after Boy in Tarzan. Bomba the Jungle Boy opened March 1949, then Panther Island in 1949, Lost Volcano in 1950, Hidden City in 1950, Elephant Stampede in 1951, African Treasure in 1952, Jungle Girl in 1952, Safari Drums in 1953, Golden Idol in 1954, Killer Leopard in 1954, and Lord of the Jungle closing 1955.
Each film drops Bomba with Nkima monkey into poacher plots with no arc across entries. Watch them in Monogram release order for the Sheffield run as audiences saw it, since the jungle reset happens each hour.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The eleven Monogram films from 1949 to 1955 are standalone poacher cases with the same Bomba, so release order and story order are the same list. Sheffield Boy Tarzan films sit before and can be sampled separately. The run assumes prior entries to land for the close and should be saved in sequence for the payoff.
