About Boulting Brothers

Identical twins John and Roy Boulting ran Charter Film Productions and became central figures in British cinema after the war. John directed the Graham Greene adaptation Brighton Rock (1948) with Richard Attenborough as Pinkie, while Roy directed the Cold War thriller High Treason (1951). Together they made the nuclear-threat drama Seven Days to Noon (1950) and the Peter Sellers satires I'm All Right Jack (1959) and Heavens Above! (1963).

This list follows release order, which is also the best viewing order. It runs from Brighton Rock through late comedies and thrillers such as The Family Way (1966), Twisted Nerve (1968) and There's a Girl in My Soup (1970). Each entry names the directing brother, since they often produced together but took turns behind the camera.

Good to know

There is no separate chronological order worth listing here. These are standalone features, not a connected story, so release order is the viewing order. Credits matter with the Boultings: John directed Brighton Rock, The Magic Box, I'm All Right Jack and Rotten to the Core, Roy directed High Treason, A French Mistress, The Family Way, Twisted Nerve and There's a Girl in My Soup, and they co-directed Seven Days to Noon and Heavens Above!
