About Firestarter
Firestarter (1984) stars Barrymore as Charlie hunted by the Shop with Keith Thomas direction from King 1980 novel. Firestarter Rekindled (2002) continues as a two part Sci Fi miniseries with Marguerite Moreau as adult Charlie facing Rainbird return.
Firestarter (2022) remakes the original with Ryan Kiera Armstrong and Zac Efron, released theatrically and on Peacock by Blumhouse. Watch the 1984 film first for Lot Six setup, then Rekindled for adult continuation, then 2022 as a reboot companion. Each version resets Shop tactics while keeping fire rules.
Good to know
Release order keeps Charlie timeline straight from child to adult to reboot. Start with 1984 for Shop experiment setup that powers later hunts. Rekindled continues directly with Rainbird alive, so watch it second. Treat 2022 as a remake endpoint after the originals. No fourth Firestarter project is dated.
