About God of Gamblers
God of Gamblers from 1989 follows Ko Chun, played by Chow Yun-fat, losing memory and sheltering with Knife, played by Andy Lau, while guard Upstart plots casino revenge under Wong Jing. God of Gamblers II from 1990 shifts to disciple Little Knife with Stephen Chow humor and new card tricks.
Part 3 from 1991 sends Chow to 1937 Shanghai for warlord wagers, and The Return from 1994 traps Ko Chun in a France prison plot. Watch in release order because disciple jokes and duel tricks stack. The core four closed in 1994, with later parodies kept outside.
