About Golmaal
Golmaal is Rohit Shetty's Hindi screwball comedy series about four hapless friends: Gopal, Madhav, Lucky and two versions of Laxman. Fun Unlimited from 2006 traps them in a blind couple's bungalow. Returns from 2008 adds a murder mix up, Golmaal 3 from 2010 moves the feud to Goa, and Golmaal Again from 2017 sends the gang to an orphanage with ghosts.
The cast shifts slightly each time but the joke stays the same, so no film spoils another. A fifth film is dated January 8, 2027 with Sharman Joshi returning and Akshay Kumar joining. The animated Golmaal Jr. series is a kids side note and not needed for the films.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Golmaal worth listing, since each film resets the gang in a new comic setup with no shared timeline to untangle. Release order matches story order throughout. Newcomers can start with Fun Unlimited for the origin of the act or Golmaal Again for the most polished entry, then fill in the rest in any order.
