About The Italian Job
The Italian Job pairs Collinson's 1969 original with Caine's Turin traffic jam gold heist plus Gray's 2003 Los Angeles revenge take with Wahlberg. The remake honors the original without sharing its plot.
Watch the 1969 film before the 2003 one since the homage lands better. A Brazilian Job sequel was developed for years but never greenlit, and a TV follow up also stalled, leaving two released films. The remake honors the original without sharing its plot, swapping Turin for Los Angeles with a new crew.
Good to know
Release order is the viewing order for homage rather than continuity, so no alternate list applies. The Bollywood Players remake sits outside as its own take. With the sequel cancelled, these two films are the complete theatrical run. The Bollywood Players remake sits outside as its own take on the 2003 film.
