Jacques Tati Watch Order

All six Jacques Tati features in order, from Jour de fete in 1949 through Parade in 1974. Hulot bumbles through postmen, holidays, uncles, offices, traffic, and circuses, so release order is the mime path with the run finished.

About Jacques Tati

Jour de fete opened the run in 1949 with a postman. Mr. Hulot's Holiday followed in 1953. Mon Oncle arrived in 1958 winning the Oscar. Playtime landed in 1967 as the giant office ballet that bankrupted him.

Trafic followed in 1971 with a car trip. Parade closed the run in 1974 as circus TV. No further feature came before his death in 1982. Watch the six in release order. Each uses sound gags and new modern boxes with Hulot quiet inside. The glass doors slam through every modern box with perfect comic timing and sound.

Good to know

These are loose Hulot tales with no strict continuity, so release order is the practical path. Playtime plays best biggest and loudest on a large screen. The Oscar for Mon Oncle marks the middle peak. Watch Jour de fete first for the postman setup. The list ends at six in 1974. Trafic bridges the epic scale down to circus intimacy.
