The Eon series has run for 25 films and six decades, with six actors in the tuxedo: Sean Connery (6), George Lazenby (1), Roger Moore (7), Timothy Dalton (2), Pierce Brosnan (4) and Daniel Craig (5). Each recasting is a soft reboot that resets the supporting cast and tone, and only Daniel Craig's five films form one continuous arc that ends with No Time to Die in 2021.
There is no continuity between actors, so release order and watch-by-actor order are almost the same list. The only real difference is that Connery's Diamonds Are Forever came out after Lazenby's single outing, so sorting by actor moves those two. The list below is release order, grouped by actor so you can see each run at a glance.
Good to know
Two Bond films are not part of this series and are safe to skip: Casino Royale (1967), a spoof with David Niven, and Never Say Never Again (1983), Connery's unofficial return. The next film, often called Bond 26, is in development under Amazon MGM with Denis Villeneuve directing and Steven Knight writing. Casting began in May 2026, with no actor, title or release date confirmed as of September 2026.
