About Jump Street
Jump Street follows cops Schmidt and Jenko going undercover in schools under Captain Dickson. The 2012 film sends them to high school to stop a drug ring, and the 2014 sequel moves the same duo to college with a bigger budget and the same jokes about sequels.
The original 1980s TV series with Johnny Depp set up the undercover school premise that both films reboot. A third film titled 24 Jump Street is dated for December 2027 with Hill, Tatum and Ice Cube in talks to return, which keeps the franchise open after a long gap.
Good to know
Watch 21 then 22 in release order, since the college jokes land harder after the high school run. The 1980s series is optional background you can skip. The 2027 film has a date but no filmed footage yet, so treat it as announced rather than confirmed viewing, and check back near release for placement.
