About Jurassic Park
Steven Spielberg directed Jurassic Park (1993) and The Lost World (1997), Joe Johnston closed the original trilogy with Jurassic Park III in 2001, and then fourteen years passed before Jurassic World (2015) relaunched the park with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Dominion (2022) followed, with Dominion bringing back Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum.
Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) is the seventh film: Gareth Edwards directing, David Koepp writing, and a cast led by Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey, set five years after Dominion. Release order and story order are the same list here, since every film picks up after the one before it.
Good to know
A Rebirth sequel was confirmed in development in May 2026 with no title or date, and Gareth Edwards left the director's chair in August 2026, so expect the eighth film but not soon. For completeness: the animated series Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory and the short Battle at Big Rock sit between the films but are optional, and you can skip them without losing the plot of any feature.
