About Les Charlots
Les Charlots stars Gérard Rinaldi with Jean Sarrus, Gérard Filipelli and Jean-Guy Fechner as musical fools across French farces. Les Fous du Stade from 1972 sets Tour de France bike chaos to 5 million tickets. Les Charlots font l'Espagne from 1972 adds bullfights.
Le Grand Bazar from 1973 and Les Bidasses en Folie from 1971 plus Les Bidasses s'en vont en guerre from 1974 close with army gags. No sixth band run was made, so the five form the set with instruments intact. Each film ends on a stage song.
Good to know
Watch the five in release order since band tours and army posts carry over in spirit directly. Later films assume you know the S1 stadium falls and Spain bulls from early tours. Gags reset each trip but the four man chemistry builds throughout. Treat the 1974 war as the planned close with no further Charlots dated.
