Three films in order, then the optional sitcom.

About Look Who's Talking

Look Who's Talking (1989) dubs a baby's inner monologue, voiced by Bruce Willis, over John Travolta and Kirstie Alley's will-they-won't-they: a high concept that became a massive hit. Look Who's Talking Too (1990) adds a sister for Mikey, and Look Who's Talking Now (1993) gives the family dogs the voiceover treatment with Danny DeVito and Diane Keaton.

The three films run one continuity in release order, tracking Mikey growing up and the family settling. The Baby Talk TV sitcom (1991 to 1992) recasts everyone and works as an optional retelling. The voiceover gimmick is the whole engine, so the dog installment lands exactly as well as that premise sounds.

Good to know

The second film rushed into production on the first's success and it shows, but Willis's Mikey keeps it afloat. The third film's pivot to talking dogs divides fans and is skippable without losing the family arc. The TV series replaced the film cast wholesale and ran two seasons in its own continuity. No revival has ever been announced, and the trilogy closes the story.
