About My Big Fat Greek Wedding
My Big Fat Greek Wedding follows Toula Portokalos and Ian Miller from their 2002 wedding through married life. The original cost about 5 million dollars and earned over 368 million worldwide. The 2016 sequel brings the family back for another wedding around a family secret, and the 2023 third film takes them to Greece after the death of the family patriarch.
A seven episode sitcom, My Big Fat Greek Life, aired in 2003 between the first two films and is optional. Nia Vardalos wrote and starred throughout and directed the third film. The story runs in a straight line with no prequels, so the order you watch is the order the family ages.
