About The Magnificent Seven
The Magnificent Seven (1960) adapts Kurosawa's Seven Samurai into a western about gunmen defending a Mexican village.
Three sequels followed through 1972 with a changing cast around Chris Adams, and Antoine Fuqua directed a standalone remake in 2016.
Good to know
Yul Brynner is the only original cast member who returned for a sequel, and a TV series ran from 1998 to 2000 outside this film list. The 2016 film retells the 1960 story with new characters, so it works on its own.
