About Matthew Vaughn
Matthew Vaughn moved from producing Lock, Stock to directing Layer Cake in 2004, a cocaine crime story with Daniel Craig. Stardust followed in 2007 as fantasy adventure, Kick-Ass in 2010 as teen vigilante satire, and X-Men: First Class in 2011 as the 1960s mutant prequel.
Kingsman: The Secret Service launched his spy run in 2014, Golden Circle continued it in 2017, The King's Man went back to 1914 in 2021, and Argylle closed the current run in 2024 as a standalone spy comedy. Each run is self contained, so release order keeps the jokes and cast returns clear.
Good to know
Watch oldest to newest since the Kingsman trio builds on itself. First Class works in X-Men marathons too but fits here as a Vaughn entry. The King's Man is a prequel yet plays best third after the two modern Kingsman films. No next directing project has a date, so Argylle stays last for now and holds the end spot.
