About Munchies
Munchies from March 1, 1987 follows Simon Watterman finding creatures in Peru that multiply when chopped up, with Cecil exploiting them. Produced by Concorde and New Horizons, it rides the Gremlins wave with Robert Picardo in cast. Munchie from May 15, 1992 turns friendly with Dom DeLuise voicing aWish-granting creature for bullied Gage, featuring Jennifer Love Hewitt's debut.
Munchie Strikes Back from 1994 continues Gage with a new wish plot. Jim Wynorski directed the sequels. The three share the name and multiplication idea but not a strict plot, which is why they play as loose follow-ups rather than a tight trilogy. No new entry has been announced.
