About The Chronicles of Narnia

C. S. Lewis wrote seven Narnia books, but the screen record so far covers four of them twice over. The BBC adapted them first as three television seasons between 1988 and 1990, faithful low-budget serials that still track the books closely. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe opened the run in 1988, Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader were combined into the 1989 season, and The Silver Chair closed it in 1990.

Walden Media then mounted the big-screen trilogy: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), Prince Caspian (2008) and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010). Watch the six entries in release order. A Greta Gerwig reboot for Netflix is announced but unreleased, so it sits outside the list below.

Good to know

There is no separate chronological order worth listing: the released adaptations follow the books in the same sequence whichever way you sort them, so one release-order list covers everything. The Silver Chair exists only as the 1990 BBC serial, since the planned Walden film was never made. The Greta Gerwig Netflix reboot is announced but unreleased and is tracked as an upcoming release, not as an item below.
