Porky's follows 1950s Florida teens scheming against the club owner Porky, from the original's shower peeping plot through the sequel's Klan showdown to the revenge threequel's high school war. A 2009 reboot, Pimpin' Pee Wee, retells the premise with a new cast.
Watch the three originals in release order, then the reboot only for completism. The trilogy shares Angel Beach and its gang, so the callbacks compound in sequence, while the reboot restarts everything. Director Bob Clark anchors the era, with the original remaining the cultural landmark of the set.
Good to know
The 2009 reboot went straight to video with no returning cast and little of the original's craft, which is why it sits apart as optional viewing. A long discussed remake with Howard Stern attached never materialized. The three Clark era films form the real run, with the first still the one that matters.
