About Silent Hill
Silent Hill (2006), directed by Christophe Gans, adapts the first game through Rose's search for her daughter in the foggy town. Silent Hill: Revelation (2012) continues with Heather Mason and closes the original continuity.
Return to Silent Hill (2026) is a reboot, not a third chapter: Gans returned to adapt Silent Hill 2, following James Sunderland's search for his wife Mary. It opened January 23, 2026 in the US, earned about $47 million worldwide, and drew negative reviews.
