About Spy Kids
Spy Kids follows the Cortez kids joining their parents' spy agency. Three films ran from 2001 to 2003 through the Thumb Thumbs, the Transmooker and the Game Over finale. The 2011 fourth film reboots with new kids, and Armageddon (2023) restarts again on Netflix.
Release order is the intended path. The reboots assume the gadget world without the original cast.
Good to know
The animated series retells the setup and is optional. A sixth film has been discussed with no date.
