About Spy Kids

Spy Kids began with Robert Rodriguez in 2001 about Carmen and Juni Cortez rescuing their secret-agent parents from Fegan Floop. Part 2: Island of Lost Dreams (2002) races rival agents, Game Over (2003) dives into the Toymaker's virtual world, and All the Time in the World (2011) passes the torch to new kids with the Cortezes mentoring. Armageddon (2023) rebooted on Netflix with the Tango-Torrez family.

Rodriguez directed every entry with the family-film gadget formula intact across two decades. No sixth film has been announced, with Armageddon positioned as a fresh start that could continue or stand alone.

Good to know

Watch the first four in release order, since Juni aging and the Cortez gadgets assume the run. Armageddon shares only the agency premise with a new family, safe as its own start after the originals. The animated Mission Critical series from 2018 extends kid missions in its own episodes with no required placement.
