About Suspiria
Dario Argento's Suspiria (1977) follows an American ballet student uncovering a witch coven at a German dance academy. Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria (2018) retells the premise in 1977 Berlin with its own cast and story, so either order works but release order is simplest.
Good to know
The 2018 film is a separate continuity, closer to an homage than a direct sequel. Argento's original opens his Three Mothers trilogy, continued in Inferno (1980) and Mother of Tears (2007).
