About Trancers
Trancers from 1984 sends Trooper Jack Deth back into ancestor bodies to stop Whistler turning people into zombie-like Trancers, made by Empire for Full Moon with Tim Thomerson and Helen Hunt. Trancers II from 1991 brings the war into a mental hospital. Trancers III from 1992 jumps to a 2352 marine program with Shark Ruskin taking over action.
Trancers 4 and 5 from 1994 form a fantasy diptych with Deth in the Kingdom of Orpheus. Trancers 6 from 2002 closes in the future with Null. Charles Band produced throughout. No seventh film has been dated, so 2002 ends the line.
Good to know
Release order matches Deth's jumps, since parts 4 and 5 assume you know the future setup. Part 3 shifts to sword fantasy, which surprises newcomers, so expect that turn. Parts 4 and 5 were shot together and should stay paired. The 2002 finale is short and cheap, but it resolves Null. With Thomerson moved on, this is a finished six.
