About Tsuribaka Nisshi
Tsuribaka Nisshi follows salaryman Hama with Su-san through fishing trips and office escapes. The 1988 original sets the Suzuki company, wife Michiko and boat rules with Yamada direction. The 1990s run keeps one film each New Year with new seas.
Later entries move through Hokkaido and overseas trips with the same Su-san bond into the 2000s. The 2009 finale closes the run after 20 films with Hama retired. The TV drama from 2015 retells separately and can be skipped. Watch in release order to see the pair age across 20 years.
Good to know
