About Venom
The Venom trilogy follows journalist Eddie Brock after an alien symbiote bonds with him, turning the two into a bickering antihero pair. The first film covers their origin, the second pits them against Carnage, and the third closes the story with the symbiote god Knull hunting them.
Release order is the only order. The three films form one continuous story with no flashback entries, and the mid credits scene of the second film feeds directly into the third. The wider Sony Spider-Man Universe films like Morbius and Kraven sit outside this trilogy and are not required viewing.
Good to know
Sony bills The Last Dance as the final chapter of Eddie and Venom's story, and Tom Hardy's run ends there. Knull is introduced but deliberately left unresolved for a larger story that has not materialized on screen. If you only want the core tale, the three Venom films are self contained and the sibling spin-offs can be skipped.
