About Wallace and Gromit
Wallace and Gromit is Aardman’s stop-motion series about a cheese-loving inventor and his silent, long-suffering dog. The shorts built the duo’s world one contraption at a time, from a trip to the moon to the arrival of Shaun the Sheep, and the two features scale the same humor up without changing it.
There is no tangled timeline to untangle. The one link that matters is Feathers McGraw, the penguin villain from The Wrong Trousers who returns in Vengeance Most Fowl. Watching in release order gives that return its full weight and keeps every invention gag in place.
Good to know
This is an episodic series, so any short works on its own, but release order is still the best first pass. Cracking Contraptions and World of Invention are short-form side collections and can be skipped without losing the plot. Vengeance Most Fowl plays as a direct follow-up to The Wrong Trousers thirty years later. No new Wallace and Gromit film is dated.
