About Witchcraft
Witchcraft from 1988 introduces Grace and the Spanner line at a manor, launching Vista Street's long direct to video run. Witchcraft II: The Temptress from 1990 follows teenage Spanner against a Satanic witch. Parts III through XII arrived yearly from 1991 to 2002 with Lutz and Garner detectives joining around part VI.
XIII Blood of the Chosen from 2008, XIV Angel of Death from 2016, XV Blood Rose and XVI Hollywood Coven continue Spanner lore on tiny budgets. XVII The Initiation from October 1, 2025 follows reporter Maya into a coven. An 18th film has been discussed by director Dustin Ferguson but not dated, so this stays ongoing.
Good to know
Release order is story order loosely, since Spanner ages and allies recur. Early budgets range from 80,000 down to 16,300 by part X, so expect shot on video texture throughout. Some later entries like Salem's Ghost branch with new casts, but they still cite Spanner. Troma's 1 to 9 DVD set is the easiest way to cover the start. Keep XVII last, since it assumes you know the coven idea.
