The Syfy series from 2015 to 2018 retells the premise across four seasons and 47 episodes, with Cole and Cassie chasing the Army of the 12 Monkeys through time. Release order is the intended path. The film and the series are separate continuities, so there is no timeline to merge, and the series deliberately outgrows its source by season two.
