About Acapulco
Acapulco follows young Maximo Gallardo in 1984 as he lands his dream cabana boy job at the Las Colinas resort, while the present-day Maximo narrates from Malibu. Created by Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shuman, it grew from a How to Be a Latin Lover spinoff into Apple TV's warmest bilingual comedy.
All four seasons run 10 episodes each, closing with the final season from July to September 2025 as Maximo fights to restore Las Colinas. The past and present timelines interleave within every season, so watch the seasons straight through in order and let the two Maximos converge.
Good to know
Release order is story order. Each season cuts between 1980s Acapulco and the present day, but the show parcels out both timelines deliberately, so there is no better sequence than air order. The series is fully complete at 40 episodes after the fourth season was announced as the last, which makes it an easy show to start now.
