About Dharma and Greg
Dharma and Greg opened September 1997 on ABC about Dharma and Greg marrying on a first date across family lines with opposite parents. Season 1 ran 23 episodes, with seasons 2 through 5 at 24 each through April 2002 and steady ratings.
The Finkelstein and Montgomery parents frame the culture clash around the leads every year with holiday episodes. The run was cancelled after season 5 with no finale film to close it. No revival has been ordered, with the cast moved to later Chuck Lorre shows and films.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 5 in air order from start to finish without gaps. The marriage setup and parent feuds build year to year, so skipping breaks them badly. The show stays episodic, but jobs and apartments thread across seasons well. The last season ends the run without a big farewell event ever.
