About Animal Control
Animal Control stars Joel McHale as Frank Shaw, a cynical Seattle officer, with Vella Lovell as director Emily Price, plus Michael Rowland, Ravi Patel and Grace Palmer in the truck. Creators Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg and Dan Sterling built it as Fox Entertainment Studios first owned live action comedy.
Fox premiered it February 16, 2023 and renewed it yearly, with season 3 in January 2025, season 4 in December 2025 and season 5 premiering September 27, 2026. Ken Jeong, Sarah Chalke, Thomas Lennon and Rob Gronkowski recur across the run. New episodes were still airing on October 4, 2026.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 5 in air order. The show is episodic with slow burn arcs for Frank and Emily, so there is no reason to skip around or start late. Season 5 started September 27, 2026 and was still rolling at verification time, which is why this guide stays marked ongoing until Fox sets an end date.
