About Archive 81
Archive 81 follows Dan, an archivist hired to restore tapes by filmmaker Melody who probed a cursed Visser building. He sees her interviews, cult rites and otherworld static while his own father past returns. Early parts cover the tape job, the first Visser fire visions and the rules for the Baldung ritual.
Later parts follow the basement tapes, the time rift and the push to save Melody across 1994 and 2022. Netflix released eight parts in January 2022 from the podcast by Dan Powell. Watch parts 1 through 8 in release order, since each tape reveal changes what Dan trusts and why the cult needs the comet.

Watch parts 1 through 8 in release order. The tape mystery only makes sense in sequence because each restored clip adds a cult rule and a reason Dan keeps watching. The finale assumes the Visser fire setup and rift logic. No second season was ordered, so eight parts form the full screen story with podcast lore behind. Track Melody and Davenport closely since motives shift.
