About Asunta
Asunta dramatizes the 2013 murder of Asunta Basterra with parents Rosario Porto and Alfonso Basterra as suspects. The six episodes dropped April 26, 2024 on Netflix Spain. Candela Pena and Tristani lead the investigation and trial threads.
Netflix bills the show as a limited miniseries under the title The Asunta Case in English listings. No second season fits the closed case. Watch episodes 1 through 6 in order. The evidence and press threads intercut, but the timeline moves forward from report to verdict.
Good to know
There is no second season and no reason to reorder. Episodes 1 to 6 cover one case in sequence. The English title The Asunta Case is the same series. Finish episode 6 before reading case explainers, since the show holds the court outcome until the end. Treat interview extras, if any, as after-story material rather than required viewing.
