About Becoming Elizabeth
Becoming Elizabeth follows young Elizabeth Tudor after Henry VIII dies, when Edward takes the throne and courts fight over her marriage. She dodges Thomas Seymour, the Grey plot and council spies while learning statecraft. Early parts cover the will reading, the first court lessons and the rules for surviving guardians.
Later parts follow the Seymour arrest, the brother rift and the push toward the princess stand. Starz aired eight parts in summer 2022 with Alicia von Rittberg. Watch parts 1 through 8 in broadcast order, since each court move changes who protects Elizabeth and why she hides feelings.
Good to know
Watch parts 1 through 8 in broadcast order. The court plots only make sense in sequence because each marriage bid adds a spy risk and a reason Elizabeth stays unwed. The finale assumes the full Seymour fall and the Edward health turn. No second season was ordered, so the eight parts form the complete screen story. Track Seymour, Dudley and Mary closely since their court aims shift fast.
