About Black Summer
Black Summer follows Rose searching for daughter Anna after the outbreak across two seasons on Netflix. Season 1 from 2019 sets the stadium split, the school holdout, and the diner siege across eight near real time episodes with chapter titles.
Season 2 from 2021 moves to the airstrip chaos, the plane bid, and the winter lodge siege across eight more episodes with a colder tone. Watch in release order since season 2 assumes the season 1 separations fully. No third season has been announced since 2021.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Black Summer worth listing, since release order matches story order from outbreak to lodge. Episodes use chapter titles and cold opens, but the path stays linear. Watch season 1 first for the Rose and Anna split, then season 2 for the reunion push and close.
