About Bones

Bones aired on Fox from September 2005 to March 2017 across 246 episodes. It pairs forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan with FBI agent Seeley Booth solving murders from remains, backed by the Jeffersonian team of Angela, Hodgins, Cam and rotating interns. Season arcs cycle through the Gravedigger, the Hacker Pelant, the Ghost Killer and the final Kovac vendetta.

Creator Hart Hanson ended the show with season twelve by plan after the revival talks closed Booth and Brennan's story with their family intact. The Finder backdoor pilot aired inside season six but its spinoff ran separately, so it sits outside the main sequence.

Good to know

Watch one through twelve in broadcast order, since engagements, births and lab departures assume sequence. Standalone cases still work out of order, but the Pelant run across seasons seven and eight loses force split apart. The Sleepy Hollow crossover episode fits inside season eleven yet resolves mostly on the other show, safe to watch as a bonus.
