About Breaking Bad
Breaking Bad follows chemistry teacher Walter White's turn to manufacturing methamphetamine. Better Call Saul is a prequel about his eventual lawyer, Jimmy McGill, but it is not purely a prequel: its final season jumps past the end of Breaking Bad to show what happens to Jimmy afterward. El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie is a direct epilogue to Breaking Bad, following Jesse Pinkman.
The three also overlap on the calendar: El Camino arrived in September 2019, partway through Better Call Saul's run, even though its story sits right after Breaking Bad's finale. That mismatch is why release order and story order are listed separately below rather than assumed identical.

Because Better Call Saul spans both before and after Breaking Bad, a fully interleaved episode-by-episode chronological watch is technically possible but not recommended by most guides.
