About Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend follows lawyer Rebecca Bunch moving to West Covina chasing ex Josh Chan across four seasons from 2015 to 2019. Early songs sell the rom com chase with catchy pastiches, while season 2 adds the Josh wedding fallout, the Greg exit and Paula schemes.
Season 3 gives the borderline diagnosis and the difficult episode that shifts the show from jokes to care with real weight. Season 4 closes with Rebecca choosing herself over three suitors and staging her own show, so the songs only make sense when the therapy progress stacks in order.
Good to know
Watch seasons 1 through 4 in broadcast order, since songs callback to prior choices and the diagnosis reframes earlier gags with new meaning. The musical numbers stand alone on video but the story does not bend that way. The 2019 finale ends Rebecca arc cleanly with no revival dated, so treat the run as closed as of this check.
