About Death in Paradise
Death in Paradise follows a British inspector on Saint Marie with a local team. Series 1 to 3 cover Richard Poole to Humphrey Goodman, series 4 to 6 cover Goodman’s run, and series 7 to 9 cover Jack Mooney. Neville Parker leads from series 9 into the 2020s with Marlon and Darlene support.
Beyond Paradise from 2023 follows Goodman in Devon as a spinoff that can be watched after his Saint Marie exit. Return to Paradise from 2024 adds an Australian branch. The main show passed 14 series by 2025 with a 2026 Christmas run dated, so it stays open with rotating leads.
Good to know
Watch the main series in broadcast order to meet each inspector handover cleanly. Cases can be sampled, but Poole to Goodman to Mooney to Neville changes only make sense in sequence. Watch Beyond Paradise after Goodman leaves Saint Marie. Return to Paradise fits anytime after series 12 as a separate branch. New series keep getting ordered, so treat the show as open.
