About Elementary
Elementary aired on CBS from September 2012 to August 2019 for seven seasons and 154 episodes. It follows Sherlock Holmes, played by Jonny Lee Miller, solving with Joan Watson, played by Lucy Liu, from the brownstone to Scotland Yard cases. Season arcs cycle through Irene Adler's reveal, Mycroft's return, Morland's shadow and the finale's time jump.
CBS closed it in 2019 after the shortened final season with Holmes and Watson exiled together. No revival has been ordered, leaving the finale's London button as the close rather than an open thread.

Watch one through seven in broadcast order, since the Moriarty identity and the Morland feud assume the full run. The show is episodic around one case each, so an occasional skip harms nothing outside the mythology episodes. Later seasons lean into the partnership's equality, which plays best with the early sober-companion years fresh.
