About Fringe
Fringe follows FBI agent Olivia Dunham and eccentric scientist Walter Bishop investigating pattern crimes with fringe science, from parallel universes to the Observers. The five season run builds from cases of the week to a war across two worlds, closing with the Observer invasion plan.
Watch seasons one through five in air order. The mythology layers season by season, with the parallel universe reveal and the timeline reset both assuming full knowledge of what came before. The 100 episode run aired 2008 to 2013 and was designed as a closed story.
Good to know
The shortened 13 episode final season was commissioned to close the story, so the ending is deliberate rather than abrupt. Glyph codes and Observer sightings reward watching in order but punish skipping. No revival or film is in development, leaving the five seasons as the complete Fringe Division file.
